Located at 476 Adelaide Road, the Emma Collections workroom and shop is a delight to visit. You have the feeling of having arrived in someone’s cosy sitting room, adorned with cutesy knick-knicks and paintings.

Emma creates her clothing right here, working with delicious silks, cottons, and in winter, merino. Her light-filled workroom is adjoined to the shop, huge windows facing out into the street.

As well as these locally-made clothes, Emma also stocks a tempting variety of jewellery and crafted treasures. Made by talented folks from around the region, the shop is a great place to pop in and find something unique.

A unique flavour is integral to Emma Collections. Emma says, “You can’t copy straight off the catwalk, it just won’t have relevance.” Her designs have evolved over the years as a pretty and feminine look, which still has sophistication and elegance.

For summer, Emma describes up-coming trends as a “print explosion!”. Her collection, entitled pot pourri, is filled with strong prints, tempered with nude colours.

The gorgeous clothes are reminiscent of femininity from the 1950s, and at other times, a romantic 70s feel. They are effortlessly stylish thanks to the classic cuts - and if you purchasing from the Emma store, you can have any required alterations made to the garments by the designer herself.
