Get a fancy lounge

Get a fancy lounge.

You’ve probably noticed I veer on the side of fashion when it comes to shopping, so this time I bring you a place that I would quite happily make into my lounge if I could – esDesign. On the ground floor of the iconic building on the corner of Ghuznee and Marion Street my boyfriend likes to call “The Hooker building”, is a store that is a darn site more stylish than the woman painted on the exterior of the building.

What started out as an Interior Design service on Thorndon Quay is now all that and more – both the Interior design and a store full of gorgeous things will greet you on that infamous corner. Patterns abound, with New Zealand imagery given a fresh makeover, and just some really awesome prints!

I’m sure some of you have looked at an old piece of furniture and thought about buying it to do up, only to have it languish in the corner, so let these guys do it for you – a lot of the furniture in-store has been recovered with love and style, and can be yours – chairs, lamps, the works - all looking like new! There are also some beautiful cushions and soft furnishings, as well as wrapping paper and ribbons that look too good to use in all honesty.

The fabric is all available to buy if you feel the need for a bit of DIY, including Homebase collection, which is designed in Napier by Leanne Culy. If you can’t sew to save yourself, esDesign can do this for you too …and if you just can’t figure out what would look good in your home, you can always use their superb interior design service.

Steph.
